Apparatus for carrying out lymphatic drainage procedures
Lymph Press Optimal V2
Detailed product description
The Lympha Press Optimal device for lymphatic drainage at the moment is one of the most technically advanced products of this line of devices. Lympha Press Optimal has a number of patented technologies implemented only in this device - Pretherapy ™ - a patented technology based on a particularly gentle manual lymphatic drainage, 12-chamber gradient - the pressure in each of the 12 chambers can be set individually. This function can be used in the presence of any injuries or contraindications, to completely disable or regulate the intensity of lymphatic drainage of specific parts of the body.
Patient lock - pressure and modes are determined and set in accordance with the doctor's recommendations, which makes this device an extremely versatile system for the treatment of lymphedema.Indications for use:
Stage I lymphedema
- Congenital lymphedema (Milroy's disease)
- Obliteration of proximal veins
- Obliteration of peripheral veins
- Stage II lymphedema
- Lymphatic edema of the upper limbs after mastectomy
- Postoperative edema on the lymph nodes in the groin area
- Chronic edema of venous origin
- Post-traumatic edema
- Lymphatic filariasis
- Other indications
- Fatty edema
- Venous insufficiency
- Phlebeurysm
- Trophic ulcers of the lower extremities
- Acceleration and facilitation of the wound healing process
- Rehabilitation after phlebectomy and vein ligation operations
- Treatment of sports injuries
During a session of hardware lymphatic drainage massage, swelling decreases, tissue nutrition, blood supply system improves, metabolic processes and gas excretion are accelerated.
Pneumocompression therapy is the primary component of the treatment of lymphatic and venous diseases. Therapeutic treatment is most effective in the initial stages, preventing the exacerbation of chronic diseases.
Variable compression affects the vessels and individual layers of tissue, clearing them from stagnation, stimulating venous and lymphatic outflow.
The course of treatment on the Lympha Press Optimal pressotherapy apparatus is aimed at eliminating venous stasis of the extremities and lymphastasis. The key feature of the device is the Lympha Gradient operating mode. The technology is patented by the manufacturer Mego Afek AC LTD and is implemented exclusively in the Lympha Press series.
Lympha Gradient mode generates physiologically necessary pressure drops and harmonizes with the natural state of the treated area. For this purpose, a block has been added to the compressor that regulates the supply of individual pressure to various chambers - higher in the peripheral zones, lower in the zones close to the body. A smooth decrease in air pressure when approaching the body makes lymphatic drainage massage more comfortable, and also stimulates the work of the lymphatic drainage system itself, making it not passive, but an active participant in the process.Operating modes:
Pretherapy mode (preparatory mode)
Provides stimulation of the outflow of lymphatic fluid to the proximal areas (areas of the body or limb areas closest to the body). Prepares the proximal areas to receive lymphatic fluid, which will flow there during the treatment session.
The Pretherapy mode is only used in combination with other modes, so after it, you should always massage the patient's limbs in the Lympha Gradient or Wave modes.
Lympha Gradient Mode
Typically used as a primary treatment, alone or after a Pretherapy regimen. In the Lympha Gradient mode, a directed massage of the limbs is carried out from the base (above the feet or palms) to the articulation areas with the body, as a result of which the entire length of the limb being treated is squeezed.
This gradual, directional compression of the limbs promotes the outflow of lymphatic fluid from the edema zone to the blood vessels of the body. The use of such a massage protects against the possible outflow of lymphatic fluid in the wrong ("reverse") direction. When the pressure wave reaches the top of the treated area, the pressure is released from the cuff, followed by a short break, which contributes to the even distribution of lymphatic fluid through the veins.
Wave Mode
This mode, like the Lympha Gradient mode, can also be used as a primary treatment, either alone or after Pretherapy. As soon as the air chamber of the cuff located in the front part of the wave begins to fill with compressed air, the pressure from the chamber located in the rear part of the wave begins to descend, as a result of which only small parts of the limbs are compressed at different periods of the procedure.
The outflow of lymph in the wrong (“reverse”) direction is impossible, because one of the chambers in the middle of the cuff always remains inflated with compressed air as the wave travels up the limb.Differential pressure calibration and setting function:
As in the Lympha Gradient mode, in the Wave mode, compression is applied to the limbs with a gradual increase / decrease in pressure. The pressure value as well as the pressure step can be set separately for each of the cuff chambers.
- Differential pressure setting (Gradient):
- The device is easy to operate both on the front panel and when connected to a PC. For programming via a PC, it is enough to install the software from the disk, run it and connect the USB cable to the socket on the back of the compressor. The operating mode and the required pressure level are set in the program window.
The pressure is always higher in the chambers of the cuff located above the peripheral zones (palms or feet) and lower in the chambers located above the proximal zones (on the trunk or corresponding joints). This facilitates the outflow of lymph from the swollen areas of the trunk and protects against accidental installation of the wrong (“reverse”) pressure distribution, which can lead to the outflow of lymph in the wrong (“reverse”) direction. The degree of pressure difference can be set for each chamber of the cuff separately with a minimum difference between the pressure in each chamber of 1 mm Hg. Art. - Setting the pressure (Pressure):
- In both Lympha Gradient and Wave modes, the pressure values can be set for each chamber of the cuff separately, according to the doctor's prescription. In both modes, the pressure can be set in the range of 31 mm Hg. Art. up to 90 mm Hg. Art. In this case, in the areas located next to the body or above the treated part of the body, the pressure should be as low as possible (according to the recommendations, no more than 20 mm Hg).
Pretherapy uses standard differential and pressure values that are 40 mmHg or more. Art. in the peripheral zones (above the palms or feet of the extremities) up to 29 mm Hg. Art. in the proximal areas (in the upper limbs and on the trunk).Compression cuffs:
Lympha Press compression cuffs consist of a maximum of 24 air chambers. All chambers of the cuff overlap each other, which provides a gentle directional compression massage of the patient's extremities, which allows the stagnant lymphatic fluid to be evenly directed from the edematous zones to other vessels of the body and to ensure its smooth return into the bloodstream.
Contraindications:
-Pacemaker
- OncologyMAIN CHARACTERISTICS:
- 24 channel system
- Working range 20 to 90 mm. rt. St
- 4 operating modes of the system
- Multilevel protection system
